This is a great trail, there are plenty of technical areas, and for the more intermediate riders there are plenty of obstacles ranging from small to large. Trail is very well maintained, and at the trailhead a small but fun elevated platform to navigate through.
A must ride for everyone!
From Hampton, take I-64 West to exit 242A. Then take the 143 Williamsburg exit and turn right on to Merrimac Trl. After about 1.3 miles turn right onto Penniman Rd. take the first left you come to onto Hubbard Ln. Follow road for 1 mile and turn onto Lakeshead Dr. Road ends at the trailhead and park office.
